Specify the finished bar and the processing sequence together.
QT, peeled, ground, machined, threaded, coated and chrome-plated each describe only part of the work. Specify the starting condition, facility, sequence, machining allowance and finished requirements. Agree inspection points, how identification is carried between operations, any subcontracted work and the records required before release.
Confirm the processing site, size range, sequence, tolerances and inspection scope for each order; a general process description does not confirm availability. The applicable route and performing party are confirmed for the order.
