Agree the tests and acceptance criteria before production.
For each test, state the method and edition, the production stage, the lot and how samples are selected. Specify test locations, coverage, acceptance criteria and report contents. Agree any witness points, how deviations are handled and who can authorize release of the order.
These guides help prepare requirements and review records. They do not certify a heat, bar, processing lot, facility, inspector, or shipment, and they do not replace the accepted order or test results.

What to include in your enquiry.
Check the details in this table, then use the guides below for more information.
| Decision area | Define in the inquiry | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Control basis | Standard, edition, method, product stage and characteristic | Prevent generic test wording |
| Lot and sampling | Heat, process lot, size, quantity, specimen location and frequency | Show what the result covers |
| Acceptance | Limits, reference basis, report fields, retest and deviation rules | Make pass or hold decisions explicit |
| Release | Witness notice, document review, traceability and authorized release | Complete the records needed to release the order |

Steel bar inspection requirements for RFQ
How to turn steel-bar inspection needs into clear order lines, including sampling, traceability, NDT, documents, witness points, and release.
Open guideDecarburization in Steel Bars: Why the Surface Can Be Too Soft
Understand steel decarburization through real micrographs, hardness profiles and practical guidance on depth measurement, machining allowance and inspection.
Open guideNon-Metallic Inclusions in Steel: What Hardness Tests Cannot Tell You
Read non-metallic inclusions in steel through real micrographs, fracture images and practical guidance on cleanliness reports, sampling and bar inspection.
Open guideSegregation and Banding in Steel Bars: Why Properties Vary Within One Bar
Explore segregation and banding in steel bars through real micrographs, chemistry maps and hardness data. Learn how to read a metallurgical inspection report.
Open guideHow to read a steel MTC and check UT documents
MTC, UT, and third-party inspection answer different questions. See what belongs in the order and when each record should be reviewed.
Open guideInspection requirements for high-strength fastener bars
Plan high-strength fastener inspection by manufacturing stage and credible failure mode, then state the method, sampling, acceptance, and report.
Open guideHydraulic rod inspection checklist before RFQ
Match hydraulic-rod inspection to the supplied stage: base bar, machined blank, plated rod, or finished component. Keep traceability through every step.
Open guideHow to specify hardness and mechanical properties in steel RFQs
Hardness, tensile, yield, impact, and elongation need a method, location, lot, condition, and acceptance rule. Write each one so the result can be judged.
Open guideHeat-treatment certificate requirements before steel bar shipment
A heat-treatment certificate is useful only when it links the furnace lot, material identity, process record, product tests, and shipped bars.
Open guideMaterial test certificate requirements for steel bars
What EN 10204 type 3.1 and 3.2 documents can confirm, who validates them, and what still has to be stated in the purchase order.
Open guideUltrasonic testing requirements for steel round bars
A round-bar UT requirement needs method, coverage, calibration, acceptance, personnel, test stage, and reporting. “UT passed” is not enough.
Open guideHeat number marking and traceability for steel bars
Heat-number traceability has to survive cutting, heat treatment, re-bundling, inspection, and packing. The identity chain should remain intact at every step.
Open guideThird-party inspection for steel bar shipment
Decide what the third-party inspector will witness, review, and release before booking the visit. Timing and authority matter as much as the checklist.
Open guidePre-shipment inspection checklist for steel bars
A pre-shipment inspection should close known exceptions, reconcile documents to the material, and verify packing before release.
Open guideMill-origin and processing-route visibility for steel bars
To verify mill origin and downstream processing, follow the material identity through every transfer, split, treatment, test, and re-bundle.
Open guideSteel bar straightness requirements before RFQ
Straightness becomes inspectable only when the line, length, support, rotation, end zones, method, sampling, and limit are defined.
